Resumo: The muscle fiber morphometric analysis (MusMA) is a protocol to segment and characterize the morphometry of individual cross-sectioned striated muscle fibers. Using a semi-automated Excel spreadsheet, the protocol allows the objective measurement of muscle fibers’ subpopulations, aiming to characterize physiopathological conditions related to muscle tissue. The main limitation of MusMA is the need for high-quality tissue slides and images and control samples to set up the analyses.
