The media, memory and history: the writing of the new historical event

Resumo: This article discusses elements of the process of historical writing of the media, a process here called Operation Midiografic. This concept aims to systematize the interconnections between media, history and memory. The concept analyzes the formulation of public events  and its subsequent inclusion as memorable instance in the temporality. This paper emphasis will be on the elements that precede the development of the news itself. For this, we analyzed writing manuals and editorial projects of the newspaper Folha de São Paulo in order to demonstrate that this production carries elements of both traditional historiographical field, such as produces their own assumptions.

Este conceito objetiva sistematizar as interconexões entre a mídia, história e memória demonstrando que tais campos partilham de pressupostos fundadores, embora, em diferentes graus de conformação. Embora o conceito dê conta de um processo amplo que vai da escritura do evento na cena pública, à sua inscrição posterior como ocorrência emblemática no tempo, a ênfase desta publicação recairá sobre os elementos que antecedem a elaboração da notícia propriamente dita.
