Resumo: This article analyzes the relationship between the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB) and the Cuban revolution of the 60’s. Our analysis is based on the assumption that the Cuban revolution represented a landmark in the history of socialism on the Latin-American continent. One of its outstanding features was the divergence between the communist parties and the Cuban, insofar as those parties were questioning several aspects of the communist proposals.
