COVID-19 COPING STRATEGIES OF RURAL AND/OR RIVERSIDE ELDERLY: INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

This study aimed to identify the coping strategies of COVID-19 of rural and river in elderly, through na Integrative Literature Review-RIL. Research conducted in Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online (MEDLINE), PubMed and WHO COVID-19. They were organized in Mendeley file manager, following the step sofreading, sampling, categorization, evaluation of included studies, analysis and interpretation of results and synthesis of the study, performed in pairs. Were identified 832 articles, of which, 06 were selected to compose this study, grouping the minto three categories: 1 - Understanding and Perception of the elderly on coping with COVID-19; 2 - The impact of the pandemic of COVID-19; 3 - Coping strategies of the pandemic in healthcare. The analyzed articles showed the need for the elderly to build sustainable participatory relationships based on the community, to support and sustain innovative research projects, to apply approaches relevant to rural environments, to recognize and identify the diversity among rural populations and develop macrostructural, community and individual coping actions. Coping with the pandemic has brought the elderly learnings related to hand washing, mask wearing and has given opportunities for the growth of spirituality, faith, resilience, hope, readaptation and recreation. New research is needed to give visibility to coping strategies to the COVID-19 pandemic and qualify care in the Unified Health System (SUS).
