Resumo: This work studies postmodern masculinity, that is, it studies how to reflect on the ancestral attributes of masculinity while anchored in the present. The study seeks to deconstruct the myth of an offensive virility whilst keeping in mind that it is necessary to understand how young men today form their masculinity and how they assert it without falling back into chauvinism. The central question is: how are teenagers able to build a male identity in line with the new standards of gender equality?

On doit chercher à déconstruire le mythe d'une virilité offensive, mais sans oublier qu'il faut comprendre comment les jeunes garçons d'aujourd'hui construisent leur masculinité, et comment ils arrivent à affirmer leur virilité sans tomber dans les travers du machisme. En effet, nous nous demandons : comment parviendront-ils à construire une identité masculine en phase avec les nouvelles normes de l'égalité des sexes?Este artigo trata da masculinidade pós-moderna, ou seja, de uma forma de refletir sobre os atributos ancestrais da masculinidade ancorada no presente. Busca-se desconstruir o mito de uma virilidade ofensiva, mas sem esquecer que é necessário compreender como os rapazes de hoje constroem sua masculinidade e como eles afirmam sua virilidade sem cair nos senões do machismo.
