Resumo: | This article proposes, in an exploratory way, a rapprochement between aesthetics and communication, focusing on the production of meaning in works of design and art. It resorts to the empirical object “Favela Chair”, by the Campana brothers, and to the painting “Notary”, by Jean Michel Basquiat, in order to reflect on the construction of meaning of these cultural objects, expanding the horizon of interpretation from the symbolic to the social and political level. We seek thus to build up a critical reflection on contemporary art and design, unveiling some power structures underlying the field of cultural industry. |

Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul2023-07-25info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/12954710.19132/1807-8583.55.129547Intexto; No. 55 (2023); 129547 Intexto; Núm. 55 (2023); 129547 Intexto; No. 55 (2023); 129547 Intexto; N. 55 (2023); 129547 Intexto; n. 55 (2023); 129547 1807-8583reponame:Intexto (Porto Alegre)instname:Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)instacron:UFRGSporhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/129547/89234Copyright (c) 2023 Fábio Pezzi Parodehttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessParode, Fábio Pezzi2023-12-13T14:34:20Zoai:seer.ufrgs.br:article/129547Revistahttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intextoONGhttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intexto/oai||intexto@ufrgs.br1807-85831807-8583opendoar:2023-12-13T14:34:20Intexto (Porto Alegre) - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)false |
