Resumo: This paper conducts a theoretical and exploratory discussion about Black Twitter and the reconfigurations of the meanings of community in the contemporary context. When thinking about Black Twitter as a singular manifestation of social grouping, it is understood here the need to rethink the convictions, the meanings and assumptions about communities, even those already intended in the conjuncture of digital materialities. In this sense, we suggest renegotiations of community ideals already theoretically consolidated, between dimensions of ruptures and continuities, focusing on the ideals of belonging, territory, unity, permanence, hierarchy and cooperation, in addition to inserting ginga as a fundamental construct for the understanding of Black Twitter and its communicational practices of community building in the face of the current sociocultural and technological scenario.

Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul2023-04-24info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/12949610.19132/1807-8583.55.129496Intexto; No. 55 (2023); 129496Intexto; Núm. 55 (2023); 129496Intexto; No. 55 (2023); 129496Intexto; N. 55 (2023); 129496Intexto; n. 55 (2023); 1294961807-8583reponame:Intexto (Porto Alegre)instname:Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)instacron:UFRGSporhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/129496/88468Copyright (c) 2023 Fernanda Carrera, Denise Carvalhohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCarrera, FernandaCarvalho , Denise2023-12-13T14:34:20Zoai:seer.ufrgs.br:article/129496Revistahttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intextoONGhttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intexto/oai||intexto@ufrgs.br1807-85831807-8583opendoar:2023-12-13T14:34:20Intexto (Porto Alegre) - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)false
