Resumo: The papers aims to understand how the field of communication can contribute to the debate on social classes, in a moment of (re) discovery of the concept. From the definition of the field of communication and their contributions at a time of “mediatization”, we present three panoramas of possible studies in the area: the class representations in the media, reception studies and political economy of communication.
