Resumo: The research proposes to study a journalistic news about genetically modified (GM) organisms. The analyze of an specific discursive clipping from the daily Zero Hora from Porto Alegre (RS), Brazil, points out a problematics managed by the popularization of science, which proposes the creation of an interdiscourse defined by the scientists as a “simplification” operation of the scientific and technological discoursivity, which when put together built a position that tends to be favourable to the adoption of GM Organisms in the switch studied.

El análisis de un determinado recorte discursivo de materias periodísticas vehiculadas en el cuaderno semanal Campo & Lavoura del diario Zero Hora de Porto Alegre (RS), Brasil, apunta hacia el problema agenciado por la vulgarización científica en tanto que propositora de un interdiscurso identificado por los científicos como una operación de “simplificación” de la discursividad científica y tecnológica. Como principal resultado tenemos el destaque dado a la formación discursiva (FD) de la ciencia, especificamente a la biotecnología y al desarrollo de plantas transgénicas, construyendo una tendencia de posicionamiento favorable hacia la adopción de los transgénicos en la cobertura estudiada.A pesquisa objetivou estudar a cobertura dos transgênicos na imprensa. A análise de um determinado recorte discursivo de matérias jornalísticas veiculadas no caderno semanal Campo & Lavoura do diário Zero Hora de Porto Alegre (RS), Brasil, aponta para a problemática agenciada pela vulgarização científica enquanto propositora de um interdiscurso identificado pelos cientistas como operação de “simplificação” da discursividade científica e tecnológica.
