Between-places of dangerous truths: the social representations theory, the other’s pain and the still possible dialogical

This article fits into the tradition of psychosocial and cultural argumentative studies. It approaches the Social Psychology and its possible attribute of being able to produce “dangerous truths” through the perspective of the Social Representations theory (MOSCOVICI, 1971). The relation category as a central subject in the approach of the subject and the social reality (AUTOR 2, 1998) is the basic hypothesis that permeates the text. We estabilish, therefore, a dialogue combining the thoughts proposed by Marková (2006) and Jovchelovitch (2008) on the boundaries of a Dialogic Social Psychology constitution. We conclude by presenting a possible method of management of the Social Representations theory into this approach by debating the ethic dilemma: what to do in response to Other’s pain? As auxiliary elements in this perspective, we use the concepts of “dialogism” and “surplus of vision” from the bakhtinian theory. We conclude by resuming direction, in the sense of an affirmation of a Dialogic Social Psychology, a Social Psychology of dangerous thruts.
