Resumo: The access to the librarians services has been modified and adapted a long the time. The defunct closed model, restored by the royalty, nobility and the owners of the libraries, that lasted until century XV was transformed into an open model that allow the entrance to the citizens to the holdings. Until end of century XX, the users went to the centres to consult holdings and to satisfy their documentary necessities. From end of century XX it is possible to access to the information through Internet and thanks to the associations and partnerships of the libraries the documentary supply has increased, considering connotations like the physical property of documents in front of the virtual property of such. The librarian system in combination with the information technologies and the communication has modified the existing model of services to date.

El modelo cerrado, instaurado por la realeza, nobleza y los dueños de las bibliotecas, que perduró hasta el siglo XV se transformó en un modelo abierto al permitir la entrada a los ciudadanos a los fondos. Hasta finales del siglo XX, los usuarios acudían a los centros para consultar fondos y satisfacer sus necesidades documentales. Desde finales del siglo XX es posible acceder a la información a través de Internet y gracias a las asociaciones y consorcios de las bibliotecas la oferta documental ha incrementado, teniendo en cuenta connotaciones como la propiedad física de los documentos frente a la propiedad virtual de los mismos. El sistema bibliotecario en combinación con las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación ha modificado el modelo de servicios existente hasta la fecha.O acesso aos serviços bibliotecários tem-se modificado e adaptado com o passar do tempo. O modelo fechado, instaurado pela realeza, nobreza e os donos das bibliotecas, que perdurou até o século XV se transformou em um modelo aberto ao permitir a entrada dos cidadãos aos acervos. Até fins do século XX, os usuários recorriam aos centros para consultar acervos e satisfazer suas necessidades documentais. Desde o fim do século XX, é possível ter acesso à informação através da Internet e graças às associações e consórcios das bibliotecas a oferta documental se incrementou, tendo em vista conotações como a propriedade física dos documentos diante da propriedade virtual dos mesmos.
