Resumo: The work deals with matters of virtual diaries or blogs, as a new possibility for the register of memory. Thus, it deals with themes related to information society, favoring and being favored by the dinamization of information and communication media, based on bibliographical research. It focuses themes such as information supply as a form of substituting “memory men”, that were present in societies deprived of writing, as the beginning of the construction of registered memory. A distinction between individual and collective memory is attempted. Results show that blogs are considered a communication tool used in virtual environment that can favor the valuation of information and memory in opposition to the stereotype of rapid obsolescence that characterizes virtual environments.

Con base en una investigación bibliográfica, discute temas como el desarrollo de la sociedad de la información, que favorece y es favorecida por la dinamización de los nuevos medios de información y comunicación. Aborda también la noción de estoque de información, como una manera de sustituir los “hombres-memoria”, presentes en la sociedad sin escritura, que aún continúa como princípio de construcción de la memoria registrada. Establece la diferencia entre memoria individual y colectiva y concluye apuntando los blogs como una herramienta de comunicación utilizada en el ambiente virtual, que puede favorecer la valorización de la información y de la memoria, en contraposición al estereotipo de fugacidad característica de los ambientes virtuales.Este artigo trata da questão dos diários virtuais ou blogs, como uma nova possibilidade de registro da memória. Para tanto, através de pesquisa bibliográfica explana a respeito de temas como o desenvolvimento da sociedade da informação, favorecendo e sendo favorecida pela dinamização dos novos meios de informação e comunicação. Aborda a noção de estoques de informação, como meio de substituir os “homens-memória”, presentes na sociedade sem escrita, sendo ainda o princípio da construção da memória registrada.
