Resumo: Thepaper analyzes the document prepared by the World Bank Achieving aWorld-Class Education In Brazil: The Next Agenda, which performs an assessmentof the last twenty years of educational policies implemented inBrazil, and outlines perspectives for the coming years, according to theBank’s conception of education and society. This international body assessesas positive the character of the implemented educational policiesand the results achieved in the indicated period. The criteria of the evaluation,the assessment, and the outlined perspective by the World Bank onBrazilian education are questioned and problematized.
