Resumo: | O presente estudo visou evidenciar a produção de conhecimento sobre saúde mental e prática de delitos. Foram levantados artigos na base de dados Web of Science, com os descritores: (mental health) e (offense* ou offender* ou delinquen*) e (juvenile* ou adolescent* ou youth*). A análise de 42 artigos permitiu a criação das seguintes categorias de estudos: 1) Prevalência de transtornos de saúde mental e variáveis associadas; 2) Associação entre prática de delitos e problemas de saúde mental e 3) Prevalência de comportamentos suicidas e variáveis associadas. A associação entre delinquência e saúde mental pode ocorrer nas duas direções e depende dos tipos de transtornos e de delitos estudados. Comportamentos suicidas associam-se com privação de liberdade. Identificar a presença de experiências adversas na infância, problemas escolares, uso de substâncias e comorbidades de saúde mental podem auxiliar na compreensão dessas relações. Espera-se que este estudo viabilize avanços das práticas em saúde mental no sistema socioeducativo. |
