Perception of students of applied social sciences courses regarding the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic during their training

Resumo: Purpose: Identify the perception of students of Applied Social Sciences courses regarding the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic during their training the impacts at universities in the state of Paraná. Methodology: Data collection took place through an online questionnaire and had the participation of 115 students from two universities in Paraná. The questionnaire had open and closed questions and was divided into sections with demographic information, and the student's perception of the impact of the pandemic, for the analysis of closed questions, descriptive statistics was used, for open questions, content analysis was used. Results: As for remote teaching, approximately 72% of respondents reported difficulties in concentrating during classes, 80% of students thought about dropping out of the course during the pandemic and about 81% of respondents said that their studies were negatively affected by the pandemic, some factors pointed out by the students were the accumulation of academic activities, the unpreparedness of these students for self-study and the lack of an adequate environment for learning. Contributions of the Study: The work contributed to the academic society by identifying the negative perception that students had during remote teaching, to the literature on the impacts of the pandemic on higher education, because according to the students' perception, the pandemic had negative impacts on learning in their respective courses, in addition, the result indicates that students of Applied Social Sciences, in most of them do not have a very high family income and thus structural problems have arisen to follow classes in remote teaching, in this sense, public bodies need to pay attention to this type of need and adapt teaching to the conditions of these students.

Metodología: La recolección de datos se realizó a través de un cuestionario en línea y contó con la participación de 115 estudiantes de dos universidades de Paraná. El cuestionario contó con preguntas abiertas y cerradas y se dividió en secciones con información demográfica, y la percepción del estudiante sobre el impacto de la pandemia, para el análisis de las preguntas cerradas se utilizó la estadística descriptiva, para las preguntas abiertas se utilizó el análisis de contenido. Resultados: En cuanto a la enseñanza remota, aproximadamente el 72% de los encuestados reportaron dificultades para concentrarse durante las clases, el 80% de los estudiantes pensó en abandonar el curso durante la pandemia y alrededor del 81% de los encuestados dijo que sus estudios se vieron afectados negativamente por la pandemia, algunos factores señalados por los estudiantes fueron la acumulación de actividades académicas, la falta de preparación de estos estudiantes para el autoaprendizaje y la falta de un ambiente adecuado para el aprendizaje. Contribuciones del estudio: El trabajo contribuyó a la sociedad académica al identificar la percepción negativa que tenían los estudiantes durante la enseñanza a distancia, aportó a la literatura sobre los impactos de la pandemia en la educación superior, debido a que según la percepción de los estudiantes la pandemia tuvo impactos negativos en el aprendizaje en sus respectivos cursos, además, el resultado indica que los estudiantes de Ciencias Sociales Aplicadas Ciencias, en su mayoría no cuentan con un ingreso familiar muy alto y por ello se han presentado problemas estructurales para seguir las clases en la enseñanza a distancia, en este sentido los organismos públicos deben prestar atención a este tipo de necesidades y adecuar la enseñanza a las condiciones de estas. estudiantes.Objetivo: Identificar a percepção dos estudantes dos cursos de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas quanto ao impacto da pandemia Covid-19 durante sua formação em universidades do estado Paraná. Metodologia: A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de questionário aplicado de maneira online e contou com participação de 115 estudantes de duas universidades paranaenses. O questionário contou com questões abertas e fechadas e estava dividido em seções com informações demográficas, socioeconômicas e percepção do estudante quanto ao impacto da pandemia, para análise das questões fechadas fez-se o uso da estatística descritiva, para as questões abertas utilizou a análise de conteúdo.
