Resumo: The article investigates the notion of corporeity presented by Merleau-Ponty in Eye and Mind. In the critique of the philosophical models constituted by the reflexive philosophies and its way of understanding the body, Merleau-Ponty highlights, throughout Eye and Mind, the corporal reflexivity from the notion of aesthesiological and its philosophical consequences. In the context of his new ontology, he emphasizes the enigma of the body and the delirium of vision, based on the duplicity of feeling. Approaching the painter's art and gesture, the philosopher understands the body in the sensitive and sentient chiasm and vision as an interrogation of the sensible things in the world.
