Resumo: The main objective of this article is to discuss the relevance of media education in its interface with Information and Communication Digital Technologies and the Pedagogy of Multiliteracies, based on an experience with the implementation of the area of ??media education in the curriculum of a public school in the city of São Paulo. We adopted, for this purpose, media-education principles and multiliteracies to analyze videos produced by the students. In order to achieve this goal, we discuss two video production activities carried out by students in the ninth grade of elementary school with the use of mobile technologies in the school curriculum. The results show that just considering the presence of technology in the classroom is not enough, it is necessary to adopt approaches related to multiliteracies.
