Resumo: This text discusses student interactions on Instagram and their interfaces with the full-time high school classroom. Ethnographic research was carried out in two environments, simultaneously. In the virtual environment through the monitoring of posts, likes and comments of seventy-three students, on the Instagram platform, 46 of which are female and 27 are male. In the school environment we analyze the influences of digital media and the use of smartphones in the daily life of the educational institution. It is concluded that the likes and comments received in the profiles reinforce the feeling of belonging to the community of friends on the Instagram platform. It is also demonstrated that digital networks cannot be seen, in the context of the research developed, as external to the school universe, but as an integral part of their daily lives, causing transformations in the relationships that students establish with each other and with the other characters of the school.

A pesquisa etnográfica foi desenvolvida em dois ambientes, simultaneamente. No ambiente virtual através do acompanhamento das postagens, likes e comentários de setenta e três estudantes, na plataforma Instagram, sendo 46 do gênero feminino e 27 do gênero masculino. No ambiente escolar analisamos as influências das mídias digitais e o uso de smartphones no cotidiano da instituição pedagógica. Conclui-se que os likes e comentários recebidos nos perfis reforçam a sensação de pertencimento à comunidade de amigos na plataforma Instagram. Demonstra-se ainda, que as redes digitais não podem ser vistas, no contexto da pesquisa desenvolvida, como externas ao universo escolar, mas como parte integrante de seu cotidiano, provocando transformações nas relações que os estudantes estabelecem entre si e com os demais personagens da escola.
