This study aims to report about the ideas in guitar education for people with visual impairment in two educational spaces in the city of Natal-RN. The need to study a specific written music for visually impaired students has been discussed in recent years by some music educators, among them are: Thomas (2003a; 2003b), Bonilha (2006, 2007.2010), Bertevelli (2007; 2010). As the braille music a subject little explored by teachers and educational institutions in Brazil, thus causing a shortage of jobs and methods of music education regarding this topic. The methodology was used action research which according Tripp (2005) puts the action research as one of the types of action research, ie any process that follows a cycle that enhances the practice by systematization even oscillatory manner between acting on the practice field and in research. We conclude that the braille music is still a relatively unexplored field in schools specializing in music education in Brazil, leaving it to teachers promote methods and techniques that help them in their classes.
