Resumo:	This article discusses the importance of the relationship "family and school" in the educational process of the child, to the success of teaching and learning. The family and school are key partners in the development of actions that promote the educational and social performance of children, forming a team both at school, and in the family. To the school's role is to lead the child in its development for learning, and to maintain a partnership with the family so that together can contribute to a meaningful learning. This article was built methodologically from literature, mainly based on the authors: SARMENTO (2004),DAYS (2005),PILETTI (1999), ESTEVE (1995),VEIGA (2001),LDB (9.394/96), DCNE (2010), RCNEI (1998)

A família e a escola são parceiros fundamentais no desenvolvimento de ações que favorecem o rendimento escolar e social das crianças, formando uma equipe tanto no ambiente escolar, quanto no familiar. Á escola cabe o papel de conduzir a criança em seu desenvolvimento para a aprendizagem, e de manter uma parceria com a família para que juntas possam contribuir para uma aprendizagem significativa.
