Resumo: This study aims to: analyze which the contents are worked by physical education teachers and whether these classes are being complemented with content dimensions. By we understand the need to work all the contents of Physical Education, arose the interest in research. According to Godoy (1995) research is hypothetical, the results only became direct during the research. The whole interview was conducted by questionnaire, They are all open questions. Data analysis was by the coding system as well speak Bogdan and Biklen (1994) analysis of the data by repetition, selection of key words, phrases and pattern of behavior. They were interviewed ten teachers of physical education, they are public and private schools. All teachers work in elementary school one or two of the city Natal in Rio Grande do Norte state. We realize with this research that the most worked contents of Physical Education are: games, Fights, activity Rhythmic and Expressive, knowledge of the body, Sports, Gymnastics. Teachers understand the importance of working Physical Education to develop motor aspects and physiological. Of the 10 respondents only one not directly addresses the content dimensions. With these results, we realized that the work had positives, because it provided a new look toward physical education, that seemed to be far away, but now it becomes nearer,resulting in a change in the focus of sports content.

Por entendermos a necessidade de trabalhar todos os conteúdos da Educação Física, surgiu o interesse da pesquisa. Segundo Godoy, (1995) a pesquisa é hipotética, os resultados só vão se tornar diretos no decorrer da pesquisa. Toda a entrevista foi realizada através de questionário, sendo todas as perguntas abertas. A análise dos dados, foi pelo sistema de codificação como bem fala Bogdan e Biklen (1994) análise dos dados por repetição, seleção das palavras chaves, frases e padrão de comportamento. Foram entrevistados dez professores de Educação Física sendo eles tanto de escolas públicas como privadas. Todos os professores trabalham no ensino fundamental um ou dois, do município de Natal do estado do Rio Grande do Norte. Percebemos com esta pesquisa que os conteúdos da Educação Física mais trabalhados são: Jogos, Lutas, Atividade Rítmicas e Expressivas, Conhecimentos sobre o Corpo, Esporte, Ginastica. Os professores entendem a importância de se trabalhar a Educação Física para desenvolver aspectos motores e fisiológicos. Dos 10 entrevistados apenas 1 não contempla diretamente as dimensões de conteúdo.
