This paper aims to reflect on the problem of (in) discipline in the school context , in view of the conflict that it can generate for the exercise of teaching , as well as draw attention to the role of the teacher as co-agent of the students during the construction of discipline in the classroom . The study was conducted in classes of 5th grade of elementary school , the Escola Municipal Professor Ulisses de Góis , located in the Nova Descoberta neighborhood in Natal, RN. This is a case study that was conducted by the account of my experience in the classroom, being used for the collection and description of the information to semi-structured interviews , graphics and theoretical support , whose goal is to expand the dialogue on the reality of school (in) discipline in context within the teacher-student interaction . The results indicate the importance of analyzing the aspects that interfere with school discipline and factors inherent in the problem under study.
