O aluno com baixa visão: a intervenção no Atendimento Educacional Especializado

This article aims to describe the teaching and learning process based on a pedagogical proposal developed with a student with low vision, thinking about the development and adaptation present in specialized educational assistance. In this sense, the research was carried out at the Escola Municipal Emanuel Bezerra, a Brazilian public school located in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Estado Norte, Brazil. Using the methodology of pedagogical intervention (DAMIANI, 2013), we discuss the planning, implementation and evaluation of actions that seek to promote learning and development of the disciplines. Thus, the works of Vygotsky (1983, 1989), Oliveira (2001), Aranha (2005) and Silva (2008) were fundamental, as well as the reading of official documents on school inclusion (BRASIL, 1996, 2008, 2015). Our comprehension consists of two moments of observation in the school and three in a room with the student. As results, we can mention the reflection on the visual deficiency and on the adaptations necessary to the production of equity in the school context.
