This paper, entitled “Report of experience on the practice of capoeira in physical education classes in high school", aims to describe the teaching experience of capoeira in high school physical education using Open Conception education. Its main purpose is to demonstrate, through the application of the classes, taught in this model, that there is yes, the possibility of, when working this modality of teaching in high school (2nd grade) to promote changes in the style of being and acting of the student. For the accomplishment of the classes the elaborated method united sport and teaching, at the same time that the cultural and cognitive values of the students were worked out, besides their motor skills. In the end, "experimentation", which was being improved day-to-day, mainly because participants were able to join, demonstrated that it does not need much to achieve the desired changes in the field of Education, in relation to several contexts of the lives of these students.
