Futsal is one of the most practiced sports in schools, however, very few girls participate in it. This study has the general objective of executing a pedagogic proposal that contributes to girls' participation in Physical Education classes in which futsal is the subject. To do this, we sought a theoretical support that could link the school setting, futsal and gender issues. This research is justified by the comprehension of the reality in which girls the are not inserted, regarding the futsal in Physical Education classes. A study of possibilities that will lead us to a way of including the referred public in the practice of futsal is necessary. This research has a qualitative character and utilized the action research methodology. A diagnostic questionnaire was elaborated and applied in a seventh grade class. Then, the answers were analysed and we identified the possible problems that lead to the lack of girls' participation in futsal classes. With this research we could identify the methodology utilized by the teacher, trace pedagogical possibilities that would contribute to a better systematization of the subject and female participation in the classes. Beyond that, it made possible to look at the students as a whole, realizing the importance of teamwork to achieve some objectives also acting in a autonomous and conscious way.
