Resumo: This research consists of an analysis of the case developed under qualitative and quantitative approach to the use of the blog as a tool for supporting a discipline of biology, and the assistance to the teaching-learning process of students of modality YAE of 1st series of secondary education of State School Aldo Fernandes de Melo. The presupposition that the blog is a technological resource that contributes in the teaching-learning process of the YAE, by peculiarities encountered in such a modality, providing an attractive and dynamic environment for these apprentices. It is discussed the changes in society related with the development of Information and Communication Technologies in education – ICT’s. It is emphasized the virtual learning environments, precisely the blog, its concept, origin and characterization, as well as the need for an initial and continued teacher training — in order of the incorporation of the communication and information technologies in schools. Through the data collected by means of questionnaires and comments, can announce that the results indicate that the blog on the quality of the tool has a potential as a virtual learning environment, the reports of the research about its use evidenced points of difficulties, as well as positive points of its contribution in the appropriation of knowledge necessary to critical and reflexive formation of the student.

Partimos do pressuposto que o blog é um recurso tecnológico que contribui no processo de ensino-aprendizagem da EJA, pelas peculiaridades encontradas em tal modalidade, proporcionando um ambiente dinâmico e atrativo para esses aprendizes. Discutimos as modificações na sociedade relacionadas com o desenvolvimento das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação na educação – TIC’s, ressaltando os ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem, precisamente o blog, seu conceito, origem e caracterização, bem como a necessidade de uma formação docente inicial e continuada — no intuito da incorporação das tecnologias da comunicação e informação na escola. Através dos dados coletados, por meio de questionários e observações, pode se anunciar que os resultados apontam que o blog, na qualidade de ferramenta, possui uma potencialidade enquanto ambiente virtual de aprendizagem.
