This work seeks to portray the evolution of textile Clothing- footwear industry in Brazil nowadays. It is important to observe the capacity to generate employment and income that this industry tends to provide the economic and social context of the country throughout its supply chain. It is a provider of economic development in societies since the industrialization process in the world and continues to act in modernity through the creation and development of the final product that reaches the consumer movement; with main focus on meeting the fashion trends and consumer preferences. The economic liberalization and globalization of markets has forced the industry to invest in technology to meet the requirements imposed by the competition. The contemporary movements see fashion as a link transmitter product offering increasingly sophisticated and offer comfort to the users clothing and footwear, which are the major focus of the production chain of this sector and its economic evolution. A recent development in these industries was due to the expansion of the economy, raising the minimum wage and consumption, professional skills and innovative efforts of companies, and state economic incentives. The study of the sectors will be made through literature review and secondary data. Statistical data will be based on the results of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
