The current society experiences conceptual and paradigmatic transformations due to the changes brought about by constant updates of information technologies. In the educational field, the tools of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are increasingly present, benefiting users with regard to access to information. In the year 2012, the students, teachers and others involved in the state education network of the state of Rio Grande do Norte felt this technological advance closely when the Integrated Education Management System (SIGEduc) was implemented, an information system In which it aimed to improve academic performance and reduce bureaucracy in school administrative processes. The present internship report has the objective of studying the impacts of this information system by implanting in a school in the state public school system of Rio Grande do Norte, the Silvio Bezerra de Melo State School. The methodology used was based on applied research and the method as exploratory and descriptive. Through this study it was possible to identify several factors that generated problems in the handling of SIGEduc, such as the lack of training of users and the system's servers that were often inoperative. As a suggestion for improvements, it was recommended that training be developed for all the servers to make better use of the tool and to the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, a greater investment in the infrastructure of SIGEduc.
