This study aims to analyze the devotion to Nossa Senhora do Rosário and San Sebastian, structured in the Irmanadade do Rosário in Jardim do Seridó / RN, our spatial area. The study brings out the discussion of memories and identities of this Brotherhood. In this reflection, devotion is understood as a process of building group cohesion, which has as catalysts symbolic aspects related to Caçote family. Among the aspects analyzed, it is highlighted the context in which the brotherhood was inserted and its transformations over time, generating a loss of tradition, causing changes. The earliest times of Caçotes in the party and the look at today: The Oral history was the basis of our work. We had the collaboration of four Caçotes, being they men and women, young and old who have lived and live the party in his time. It will be focused mainly to Caçote family as builders of their own history. We emphasize the importance of the tradition that surrounds this family through orality. The Black People of the Rosary - through the festive ritual - with their dances and songs, recall his past.
