Self analysis in agricultural cooperatives: a case study in the State of Roraima

Resumo: This article proposes to identify the difficulties in the practice of selfmanagement in an agricultural cooperative in the state of Roraima. We conducted a qualitative research method which was a case study on the Coopercarne. It was used as a technique for data collection in-depth interviews with the help of script, document analysis and participant observation. The findings were that the level of participation and commitment is low in relation to the need to practice democratic management. However, only participation and commitment are not enough, it is also necessary that the Coopercarne makes use of management tools, in order to accomplish the objectives of the company, with transparency and speed that the market demands.

Realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa, cujo método fora um estudo de caso sobre a Coopercarne. Utilizou-se como técnica de coleta de dados entrevistas em profundidade com auxílio de roteiro, análise de documentos e observação participante. As constatações foram que o nível de participação e comprometimento é baixo em relação ao necessário para se praticar uma gestão democrática.
