Resumo: | This study aims to develop an analysis of Indigenous Psychology, with a special focus on the Brazilian context. This analysis is grounded in the exploration of the relationship between Psychology and indigenous communities in Roraima. The proposal is anchored in the conception of a psychology for and with Indigenous peoples. This concept is forged based on a foundation of knowledge from Indigenous Psychology, decolonial psychology, Community Social Psychology, Health Anthropology, as well as comprehensive studies on violence, cognition, and thought within Indigenous communities themselves. The findings highlight the necessity for psychology to recognize the significance of collectivity in identity formation and be prepared to embrace the intrinsic wisdom of each local context. This principle excludes the imposition of knowledge, prioritizing contextualization and understanding of Indigenous perspectives. |

Universidade Federal de Roraima2023-12-10info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revista.ufrr.br/textosedebates/article/view/781110.18227/2317-1448ted.v29i02.7811Textos e Debates; Vol. 29 No. 02 (2023): Jul - Dez 2023: Revista Textos e Debates; e7811 Textos e Debates; v. 29 n. 02 (2023): Jul - Dez 2023: Revista Textos e Debates; e7811 2317-14481413-9987reponame:Textos & Debates (Online)instname:Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR)instacron:UFRRporhttps://revista.ufrr.br/textosedebates/article/view/7811/3986Copyright (c) 2024 Textos e Debateshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessGuimarães Sales, Ivy Elida Roberti Junior, João Paulo2024-05-13T14:57:08Zoai:oai.revista.ufrr.br:article/7811Revistahttps://revista.ufrr.br/textosedebatesPUBhttps://revista.ufrr.br/textosedebates/oaiana@cch.ufrr.br2317-14481413-9987opendoar:2024-05-13T14:57:08Textos & Debates (Online) - Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR)false |
