Resumo: Four creations of guinea pigs from rustic breeders located at the Municipality of Serop?dica in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, stool samples from 15 animals were collected randomly, where six (46.6%) of them were positive for Cyniclomyces guttulatus. From the same creations, only one was found positive for unsporulated oocysts of Eimeria caviae. Six animals positive for C. guttulatus were posted to isolate vegetative forms of this acomycete. Likewise a single animal positive for C. guttulatus and infected orally as 106 sporulated oocysts of E. caviae was also euthanized with CO2 in chamber to serve as a donor of both forms of endogenous phases of C. guttulatus as well as E. caviae found in scrapings of the cecum and colon mucosa. Smears were stained with Giemsa and Ziehl-Nielsen. The project was submitted from ethics committee of UFRRJ the number getting was 009759. Cyniclomyces guttulatus can be found in the digestive tract and feces of C. porcells as a participant in their microbiota without causing notable injuries. Isolates of C. guttulatus of guinea pigs have phenotypic and genotypic characteristics identical to strains of this species found in rabbits. The strain of E. caviae also isolated from guinea pigs of rustic breedings had similar morphotypes, in spited of has three types of oocysts, small, measuring (18.07 x 16.39 ?m), medium, measuring (20.87 x 17.87 ?m) and large size, measuring (22.80 x 17.92 ?m). Polymorphism among sporulated oocysts can be observed on the histogram class and its regression line. Although the values of DM are significant, the morphology of the sporulated oocysts was not different. The pre-patent and patent were five and seven days, respectively, characterizing the species as the short period. In experimental infection at a dose of 106 sporulated oocysts of E. Caviae, eimeriosis was not observed, because there was no development of clinical signs in animals. The shapes of endogenous C. guttulatus and E. caviae, characterized as vegetative cells and merozoites respectively, were to be examined carefully to avoid any confusion in the differential diagnosis between the two etiological agents in the same vertebrate host. The genotypic characteristics of both, C. Guttulatus and E. caviae from Cavia procellus in Brazil were determined and deposited in GenBank.

As caracter?sticas genot?picas, tanto de C. guttulatus, quando de E. caviae encontradas em Cavia procellus no Brasil foram determinadas e depositadas no GenBankSubmitted by Sandra Pereira (srpereira@ufrrj.br) on 2020-05-06T12:24:38Z No. of bitstreams: 1 2013 - Gilberto Flausino.pdf: 19088218 bytes, checksum: db58c42aa5c4f7760fa43119bf48e49e (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2020-05-06T12:24:38Z (GMT). description Four creations of guinea pigs from rustic breeders located at the Municipality of Serop?dica in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, stool samples from 15 animals were collected randomly, where six (46.6%) of them were positive for Cyniclomyces guttulatus.
