The Chairs, Paulo Freire Center and Institute become spaces for programs, researches, meetings of research groups, courses, events, fomentation of social, educational and economic public policies to contribute to the sustainable development of the planet, man-nature dichotomy, education-society, theory-practice, trainer-educator. This study aims to analyze the influence of the thought of Paulo Freire on the actions developed by the Chairs, Center and Institute Paulo Freire do Brazil involving Environmental Education. From a qualitative approach and a descriptive method, the research data were collected in the respective sites available from these spaces. The results indicate that these formative spaces play an important role in the formation of a sustainable socio-environmental identity, since they provide the actors involved with the reflection on the true dialogue, critical-humanized and emancipatory thinking, thanks to the exchange between chairs-university-school-society.
