Currículo educacional: uma análise acerca da educação especial de uma instituição privada em um município baiano

This paper presents the results of a documentary research with a qualitative approach whose goal was to identify how the perspective of Special Education is being developed in the curriculum of a private school located in a city in Bahia. For a better understanding of this document, the documentary analysis was based on the notes of the official educational documents, such as the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education (LDB), the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the Statute of the Person with Disabilities. The information about the curriculum was taken from Lopes and Macedo (2011), Moreira and Candau (2007) and Haidt (2011). It is important to highlight that the curriculum based on traditional and fragmented way does not develop the inclusion of subjects, because curricula that follow a standard does not provide the development of skills and independence of students corroborating to a social exclusion. From the results identified in the analysis of the curriculum proposal, it was possible to state that the only approach that deals with special education is only linked to the physical space of the school, which exposes a ramp and a properly appropriate bathroom for these students.
