The function of inventory management is to reduce costs and simultaneously maintain service level without compromising the corporate image. One of the reasons that make this task more complex is the perishability of products, whereas the value of loss due to the expiration date must be compared with the sells value and not with the non-costumer service since the possibility of maintaining a safety stock is reduced. This study shows the stock management of a beauty company, specifically hair dye products, which, due to the perishability, has been causing losses for the company. Although it may seem that, in the beauty industry, the expiration dates are extensive, this will depend on the lot that will enter into the company. The purpose of this study is to measure the stock required to meet the demand for hair dye at the beauty shop. The method used is a case study and the nature of the research is quantitative. The results showed that is extremely important the use of decision-making tools in both inventory management and purchasing management, avoiding losses which could compromise financial balances and thus knowing better its inventory turnover.
