Etnociência e a formação de professores de química: concepções e práticas docentes

Resumo: This work aimed to investigate the conceptions of chemistry teachers about ethnoscience, considering the teaching practice and its training contexts. This study was developed with the collaboration of Basic Education Chemistry teachers who work in public and private schools in the states of Alagoas, Sergipe, Piauí, Pará and Amapá. This research has a qualitative methodological approach, and the data was collected through a questionnaire provided to teachers by the Google Forms Platform, Google Forms. The information obtained through this study was inquired through the content analysis proposed by Bardin (1977). From the results, it was noticed that the teachers' conceptions are still restricted to exemplifying or using the students' everyday, traditional or popular knowledge as a starting point for scientific knowledge. In this context, there was a limitation in the understanding of ethnoscience. This result raises concern about the true role of chemistry education in the face of cultural diversity in our country.

O presente estudo foi desenvolvido com a colaboração de professores de Química da Educação Básica que atuam na rede pública e privada nos estados de Alagoas, Sergipe, Piauí, Pará e Amapá. Esta pesquisa tem uma abordagem de natureza metodológica qualitativa, tendo os dados sido coletados por meio de um questionário fornecido aos professores pela Plataforma do Google Forms, Formulários Google. As informações obtidas por meio deste estudo foram inquiridas através da análise de conteúdo proposto por Bardin (1977). Dos resultados, percebeu-se que as concepções dos professores ainda se restringem em exemplificar ou usar os conhecimentos cotidianos, tradicionais ou populares dos alunos como ponto de partida para o conhecimento científico. Nesse contexto, observou-se uma limitação no entendimento acerca da etnociência.
