Resumo: | Introduction: The Chronic Noncaused by different factors, which are categorized into modifiable and non-modifiable, affecting quality of life for long periods of time. In Brazil, the pathologies that fit into this scenario are increasing, being responsible for more than half of the deaths, reaching individuals in unequal proportions. In the world, about 80% of cases occur in countries with low socioeconomic status. Some alterations that can be found are related to cognitive, emotional and communicative processes decline, resulting in alterations such as aphasia, apraxias and dysarthria, as well as manifestations in the physical and functional components, such as the swallowing process. Objectives: To carry out a literature review on the benefits of speech therapy in people with CNCD'S. Methodology: A literature review on speech therapy and CNCDs, carried out through the PICO strategy for the construction of the guiding question: What are the benefits of speech therapy in CNCDs? The bases used to search for articles were Cochrane, PubMed, SciELO Scientific Electronic Library Online and LILACS Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences. With descriptors in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Results: The following articles were found: Scielo=1; Lilacs =6 Cochrane Libray =1; Pubmed = 84, 47 articles were selected, noting that 3 of them were duplicates, after complete reading, 24 articles were excluded, 20 articles were included at the end of the search in which the author, year, objectives, methodology and results were included. Conclusion: CNCDs are an active member of the public health scenario, causing several complications in the communicative and cognitive process in auditory processing, as well as changes in the stomatognathic system. and communication and disease prevention. |
