Resumo: Reclaimed asphalt paving material is a result of the milling process that removes the deteriorated coating. This material has noble characteristics and can be used in the pavement structure itself.Studies have shown that milled material is presented as an aggregate to improve the geotechnical characteristics of the soil. Thus, this research purpose to verify the possible breakage of the milled material grains in compacted mixtures with reuse and without reuse of the material. The experimental program involved the use of a fine soil with clayey characteristics and milled material passing through a 19 mm sieve in proportions of 20%, 30% and 50%. The tests performed were granulometry, Atterberg limits and modified energy compaction. The results showed a change in the granulometry of the mixtures in relation to the pure soil and with greater clarity for higher levels of milled material and when the material is reused. Has been verified a higher percentage of passing material in the gravel and sand fractions. The silt and clay fraction practically does not change. Therefore, there are indications of grain breakage during soil compaction. As for the compaction parameters, the addition of milled material increases the maximum dry density and decreases the optimum moisture content.

As for the compaction parameters, the addition of milled material increases the maximum dry density and decreases the optimum moisture content.O material de pavimentação asfáltica recuperado é resultado do processo de fresagem que remove o revestimento deteriorado.
