The present work brings the discussion about the homoafetive struggle with regard to the right to adoption and how the Social Service professionals are positioned in relation to this subject that, in the current conjuncture, has been the subject of several debates. With the legalization of the stable union between homoffective couples through Direct Action of Unconstitutionality 4277 and Arrangement of Federal Precept Breach 132 that changed article 1,723 of the Civil Code of the Federal Constitution on May 4, 2011, they have the same rights as those that the heterosexual couples have of this The constitution of a family made the idea legally possible. Although the Child and Adolescent Statute does not delimit the sexual choice of the adopter, there is still discrimination on the part of the society when it is a homosexual. As the social service is a profession that acts as a mediator in the adoption of children and adolescents playing one of the most important roles in the course of the processes, as it uses the technical-operative work tools of the social workers, among them the social opinion that serves as the basis So that the adoption may or may not be granted by the judge, guaranteeing minors the right recognized by the state. In this way is directly involved in the adoption process, we verified the need to research what these professionals have done to discuss with the population that theme that is so important. For this, we carry out bibliographical researches taken from the internet, highlighting in a table the main points pointed out in the researches, their common points and their differences.
