Resumo: This study aimed to identify the structures for physical activity (PA) in Brazilian Schools and relate them to the Indexes: Human Development (HDI), Development of Basic Education (IDEB) and quality indicators of the Report Card Brazil (RCB). This is a cross-sectional study with secondary data from INEP-Brazil to identify and classify the PA structure in Brazilian schools, based on the existence of "courtyards", "courts" and "sports materials", organized by level of education in: “Fundamental” and “Medium”. These data were organized by Macroeconomic Region and related to the HDI, IDEB and RCB Quality Classification Criteria. Pearson's Linear Correlation was used to verify the relationship between the school structure for PA and the indicators, and the RCB quality concepts were analyzed. Thus, for “Elementary School”, there was a positive and significant relationship between the HDI and the existence of “courtyards” (r=0.53; p=0.004), “blocks” (r=0.855; p<0.01) and “sports equipment” (r=0.764; p<0.01), while for the IDEB, the values followed the same logic, being for the existence of “patios” (r=0.475; p=0.01), “courts” (r=0.676; p<0.01) and “sports equipment” (r=0.535; p<0.01). For "High School", there was a relationship between the HDI and the existence of "courts" (r=0.517; p<0.01) and "sports materials" (r=0.499; p < 0.01), while for IDEB, only the relationship with the existence of “sports materials” (r=0.508; p<0.01). It is concluded that the North and Northeast regions have a smaller structure for AF and that there is a positive relationship of this structure with the indicators of economic development, educational quality and the RCB.

Trata-se de estudo transversal com dados secundários do INEP-Brasil para identificação e classificação da estrutura para AF das escolas brasileiras, a partir da existência de “pátios”, “quadras” e “materiais esportivos”, organizados por nível de Ensino em: “Fundamental” e “Médio”. Estes dados foram organizados por Região Macroeconômica e relacionados com os Índices IDH, IDEB e os Critérios de Classificação de Qualidade do RCB. Utilizouse a Correlação Linear de Pearson para verificar a relação entre a estrutura escolar para a AF e os indicadores, sendo analisados os conceitos de qualidade do RCB. Assim, para o “Ensino Fundamental”, verificou-se relação positiva e significativa entre o IDH e a existência de “pátios” (r=0,53; p=0,004), “quadras” (r=0,855; p<0,01) e “materiais esportivos” (r=0,764; p<0,01), enquanto para o IDEB, os valores seguiram a mesma lógica, sendo para a existência de “pátios” (r=0,475; p=0,01), “quadras” (r=0,676; p<0,01) e “materiais esportivos” (r=0,535; p<0,01). Para o “Ensino Médio”, verificou-se relação entre o IDH e a existência de “quadras” (r=0,517; p<0,01) e “materiais esportivos” (r=0,499; p < 0,01), enquanto para o IDEB, apenas, relação com a existência de “materiais esportivos” (r=0,508; p<0,01).
