This work carried out a spatial analysis of basic sanitation services and socioeconomic indicators in the neighborhoods of Aracaju-SE. The aim of this study was to analyze and evaluate relationships between social and health parameters and, secondarily, to develop a consultation tool to promote actions by public authorities in the development of better living conditions for the local population. The theoretical foundations listed here presented the history of sanitation as well as the main concepts of the indicators used in this material. This work presents data collected from secondary sources through the latest edition of the Demographic Census, by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). This research is quantitative in nature and with technical procedures through bibliographic research. For the execution of the study, the Basic Sanitation Index (ISB) was used, indicators of color or race, financial, educational and age segmented by each neighborhood in the city. Through this work, it could be verified that the city of Aracaju has good results regarding the basic sanitation components studied, when compared with the situation in Sergipe and in Brazil. However, the study revealed excluding processes of access to public sanitation services between regions of the city, noting the existence of significant statistical relationships (P<0.05) between the variables. This work concluded that such segregation is correlated with social conditions and location, with emphasis on the incidence of population in the poverty zone, obtaining the highest correlation in this research.
