Resumo: The present work aims to broaden the readers' perspective on the importance of working with the visibility of the diversity of knowledge and narratives during the educational process, bringing details of the trajectory of my black body during the teacher training process in the Degree in Dance from the Federal University of Sergipe, in the format of an experience report, drawing attention to the importance of anti-racism and decolonial thinking in the construction of the teacher's identity, and therefore in the construction of the identity of their future students. Thus highlighting the urgent need to think about other models of education based on the validation of other knowledge than just that which dictates the Eurocentric standard.
