The objective of this article is to describe the implantation of a manufacturing unit outside the national territory with a focus on the study of logistics costs and layout, aiming to increase productivity. A study was conducted in the Colombian market to understand the difficulties and needs that would help increase productivity. The logistics for the delivery of the merchandise was also studied, in order to increase profitability, reducing costs. There was a 65% increase in annual sales to this market and also a 60% increase in the variety of products sold. The results show that it is possible to be assertive in an international market after knowing the needs and understanding all the steps that lead the merchandise to the customer.
