Resumo: This research discusses the archival science policies and the system application in Sergipe archives, analysing the development of policies focused on the archives of the state of Sergipe and points out the actions development by the application of the SIESAR system in the state. For that matter, we looked for policies focused on the archives, national archival system and the archival system for Sergipe archives, in order to demonstrate the system application, the policies development, the development of documental management activities and the applicability of the system in the state archives. This research indicates the features for the condition of preserving, conserving and the management of the public administration documents of Sergipe, addressing the functionality of the system in the archives and developing the management of public documents. The methodological research is qualitative and exploratory and it is made present through a documental survey, the system application in the archives of the state of Sergipe and points out the features of the policies applicability in public and municipal archives of Sergipe.

Nesse sentido, foi pesquisado sobre as políticas voltadas para os arquivos, sistema Nacional dos arquivos e o sistema de arquivo para os arquivos de Sergipe, com o objetivo de evidenciar a aplicação do sistema, o desenvolvimento de políticas, o desenvolvimento de atividades na gestão documental e a aplicabilidade do sistema nos arquivos do estado. Essa pesquisa aponta as características para a condição de preservação, conservação e a gestão dos documentos da administração Pública de Sergipe, abordar a funcionalidade do sistema nos arquivos e desenvolvimento das gestões dos documentos públicos.
