O cinema feminista e pós-colonial de Trinh T. Minh-ha : uma análise aplicada ao filme “Surname Viet given name Nam”

Resumo: The present study develops an analysis of the film "Surname Viet given name Nam" associated to reflections on fields of knowledge that help to improve the understanding of the cinema realized by Trinh T. Minh-ha. Like this filmmaker, the other voices in the film are from Vietnamese women. As a postcolonial feminist, Trinh T. Minh-ha seeks to create modes of agency for these voices while questioning the truth of the reason of patriarchal systems in their macro- logies and micro- logies, from the discourse that forges impartially and transparently to the authoritative discourse that insists in keeping the woman as a determined subject from the look of man. Trinh T. Minh-ha seeks to apply in his cinematographic realization, in aesthetic and conceptual structures, his ideological perspective in a political and engaged way so as to materialize in his artistic work his criticism as to the forms of presentation of the organizations of power.

Minh-ha. Assim como essa cineasta, as demais vozes presentes no filme são de mulheres vietnamitas. Como feminista pós-colonial, Trinh T. Minhha busca criar modos de agência para essas vozes ao passo que questiona a verdade da razão dos sistemas patriarcais em suas macrologias e micrologias, do discurso que se forja imparcial e transparente ao discurso autorizado que insiste em manter a mulher como um sujeito determinado a partir do olhar do homem. Trinh T.
