Resumo: Brazilian cities are facing several problems related to urban mobility. These problems are caused, mainly, by the massive use of individual motorized transportation and by the quality of the offered public transportation, which intensifies the first cause. In this way, developing traffic jams, increased waste of time in traffic, waste of energy, environmental impacts, poor populational life quality and high costs. Therefore, with the goal of solving these problems and of developing more sustainable cities, it was introduced by the National Urban Mobility Plan through the law 12.587. Being Aracaju one of these cities, it proposes in its Mobility plan, the prioritization of the circulation of non-motorized modals, and high capacity motorized ones to achieve these goals, being the last one provided by the deployment of BRT. Thereby, the system is the deployment phase, so in this assignment is analyzed the proposed project of the Bus Rapid Transit in Aracaju to ascertain its real classification by its features. And from this, compare it to other models of the same, already implanted and consolidated in other places, thus observing how the features of the Aracaju system behave in relation to the others. And ascertain the possible impacts of it, provided to the city and the local population. In this way, concluding that the system does not show every feature proposed by the project, due to 60% of the corridors does not show the prerequisites to the BRT classification, so reducing its extension and range in the town, despite its connection to other counties. Therefore, not being as efficient as planned, needing a revision toward the inclusion of BRT classificatory features in at least a few more.

Therefore, not being as efficient as planned, needing a revision toward the inclusion of BRT classificatory features in at least a few more.As cidades brasileiras enfrentam diversos problemas relacionados a mobilidade urbana.
