Resumo: | The problems related to urban mobility faced by cities are largely caused by the accentuated use of individual motor vehicles and the low quality offered by public transportation. This negatively reflects on the quality of life of the population, who need to worry about congestion, delays caused by longer travel times and environmental pollution. To solve these problems, the National Urban Mobility Policy (Law 12,587/2012) was created, which draws guidelinesfor the progress of urban mobility at all levels of public administration. In Aracaju, it was proposed in its Mobility Plan that non-motorized and public transport be prioritized. With that, the Hermes Fontes Corridor project was developed, which presents elements of the system known as BRT. Therefore, this Final Paper seeks to analyze the implementation of the public transportation system in the Hermes Fontes Corridor, as well as to compare it with BRT benchmarks that present a successful history in its implementation: Guadalajara, Buenos Aires, Quito and Recife; to, thereby, verify the classification of that Corridor concerning the BRT Standard. Finally, it is concluded that the system does not present the requirements for the classification of BRT, having its efficiency limited by the absence of these requirements that, if added, will bring benefits and progress for urban mobility in Aracaju. |

Isso reflete, negativamente, na qualidade de vida da população, que precisa preocupar-se com congestionamentos, atrasos causados por tempos de viagem mais longos e poluição ambiental. Para solucionar tais problemas,foi criada a Política Nacional de Mobilidade Urbana (Lei 12.587/2012) que traça diretrizes para o progresso da mobilidade urbana em todos os níveis da administração pública. Em Aracaju, foi proposto em seu Plano de Mobilidade, que os transportes não motorizados e públicos fossem priorizados. Com isso, desenvolveu-se o projeto do Corredor Hermes Fontes que apresenta elementos do sistema conhecido como BRT. Desse modo, o presente Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso busca analisar a implantação do sistema de transporte público no Corredor Hermes Fontes, assim como, compará-lo com referenciais de BRT que apresentam histórico de sucesso em sua implantação: Guadalajara, Buenos Aires, Quito e Recife; para, deste modo, verificar a classificação do referido Corredor em relação ao Padrão de Qualidade BRT.
