Resumo: | Education is important so that citizens can find possibilities to understand themselves and the world in which they live, and technologies help and work as tools for society to evolve, including in educational environments. In this way, the junction between the teaching-learning process and technological innovations go hand in hand to promote meaningful education. This does not mean that in all school spaces it is possible to carry out teaching practices based on the use of technologies, even because the transformations disseminated by globalization were not homogeneous. The insertion of New Information and Communication Technologies, their advantages and disadvantages, concrete possibilities of application and acceptance in the face of conservative teaching-learning practices, become an essential subject of study, regarding their application in the classroom or not. In this sense, the present work aims to analyze the insertion of new teaching technologies in geography, in order to contextualize the historical moment of profusion of technological production, in addition to understanding the advantages and disadvantages of the insertion of new technologies in teaching, as well as to propose teaching perspectives in geography from the use of new technologies in the classroom. |

Dessa forma, a junção entre o processo de ensino-aprendizado e as inovações tecnológicas andam de mãos dadas para promover uma educação significativa. Isso não significa que em todos espaços escolares seja possível efetivar práticas de ensino a partir do uso de tecnologias, mesmo porque as transformações disseminadas pela globalização não foram homogêneas. A inserção das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação, suas vantagens e desvantagens, possibilidades concretas de aplicação e aceitação frente a práticas de ensino-aprendizagem conservadoras, tornam-se tema de estudo essencial, quanto a sua aplicação em sala de aula ou não.
