Resumo: | Introduction - Genetic training in undergraduate medical courses is fundamental for understanding the biological determinants of the health-disease binomial. In addition, the changing epidemiological profile makes diseases with genetic determinants increasingly relevant as a public health problem. The present work aims to evaluate the interdisciplinary approach of genetics concepts in different moments of undergraduate medical students, considering the growing demand of patients with complaints related to genetic factors, the advance of science in the field of genetics and the need for understanding. about such science for good care at all levels of health care. Methods - This is a descriptive cross-sectional study that was conducted through the application of a questionnaire to 30 medical students at the Federal University of Sergipe. Through a semi-structured questionnaire, 3 questions were asked to characterize the sample and two open questions related to the theme: Interdisciplinary approach to genetics concepts during medical training at UFS. The collective subject discourse analysis method (CSD) was used to evaluate the discursive content of the result according to the sample characterization. Results - For the first discursive question 8 core ideas were listed, namely: “Child Health” (36.6%), Cancer (23.3%), “Cell Biology” (20%), “Physiology” (20 %), “General Pathological Processes” (16.6%), “Embryology” (16.6%), “Adult Health” (16.6%) and “Women's Health” (13.3%). For the suggested discursive question, 8 core ideas were also selected: “I did not seek to heal them” 40%, “Internet” (20%), “Difficulty in Understanding Genetics” (20%), “Books” (16.6%) , “In the Basic Cycle” (16.6%), “In the Clinical Cycle” (13.3%), “Throughout Training” (13.3%) and “Lack of Interest in Genetics” (13.3% ). Conclusion - It was evident that despite perceiving genetics as an area of great importance in the field of health and that surpasses the limits of specific disciplines about this science, being rescued in several disciplines during the process of doctor training, at the Federal University of Sergipe , academics do not seek to remedy the genetic information they need, they still see the subject as boring or boring and do not delve deeper into the knowledge of the genetic basis of the pathologies they study during graduation. |

Além disso, a mudança do perfil epidemiológico torna as doenças com determinantes genéticos cada vez mais relevantes como problema de saúde pública. O presente trabalho busca avaliar a abordagem interdisciplinar dos conseitos de genética nos diferentes momentos da graduação dos estudantes de medicina, tendo em vista a crescente demanda de pacientes com queixas relacionadas a fotores genéticos, o avanço da ciência no campo da genética e a necessidade do entendimento sobre tal ciência para um bom atendimento em todos os níveis de atenção em saúde. Métodos - Trata-se de um estudo transversal descritivo, que foi realizado através da aplicação de questionário para 30 estudantes do Curso de Medicina da Universidade Federal de Sergipe. Através de um questionário semi-estruturado foram feitas 3 perguntas para a caracterização da amostra e duas perguntas abertas relacionadas ao tema: Abordagem interdiciplinar de conceitos de genética durante a formação médica na UFS. Foi utilizado o método de análise do discurso do sujeito coletivo (DSC) para avaliação do conteúdo discursivo do resultado de acordo com a caracterização amostral Resultados – Para a primeira pergunta discursiva foram elencadas 8 ideias centrais, a saber: “Saúde da Criança” (36,6%), Câncer (23,3%), “Biologia Celular” (20%), “Fisiologia” (20%), “Processos Patologicos Gerais” (16,6%), “Embriologia” (16,6%), “Saúde do Adulto” (16,6%) e “Saúde da Mulher” (13,3 %).
