Tratamento de água para o consumo humano : uma sequência didática relacionada ao conteúdo de separação de mistura

This qualitative work aims to observe the conceptions of the students of the 1st grade of High School, of a school public State located in the agreste of Sergipe, about the theme and its treatment process for human consumption, identifying possible conception evolutions regarding chemical concepts related to water treatment, as well as promoting a reflection on the importance of water and its conservation. To this end it was elaborated a teaching sequence (TS), entitled, “The path of water to your tap”, which was developed in the period of four weeks (1 month) for a 15 students. It was possible to notice that about 99% of the students understood the relevance of the theme to promote social-environmental reflections, as well as the importance of the treatment and conservation of this water resource. Regarding establishing the relationship of the theme to scientific content and promotion of conceptual Evolution, it is noted that the participants presented difficulties in modifying their previous conceptions.
